DUELMEN, Germany — The Wiesmanns are at it again. Friedhelm and Martin Wiesmann will present their latest creation, the Wiesmann Roadster MF5, at the upcoming 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. The limited-edition, handcrafted two-seater will be priced at $270,000.

The Roadster is basically a soft-top version of the MF5 Coupe, powered by a 500-horsepower BMW V10. The lightweight speedster will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 193 mph.

Wiesmann hasn't released official images but says the aluminum-bodied MF5 Roadster will feature an extendable rear wing "for perfect handling on the racetrack and on the road."

Inside Line says: The Wiesmanns plan to build and sell only 55 copies, so order soon. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
