In New Moon, the next installment in the Twilight saga, Edward gets a new ride, trading his Volvo C30 for… another Volvo. A Volvo XC60, to be precise, which is the car I’m driving as I speak.

Now, it’s a fine car, but I can’t help thinking that a vampire might drive something with a little more snap, or… bite. I mean, Eddie, you’re immortal—so LIVE a little!

So with that in mind, here are the top five cars for a vampire like Eddie:

The Chevrolet Camaro SS. Screeching tires and a cloud of acrid tire smoke are just the things to ward off werewolves. A few smelly dogs won’t stand a chance against 426 horsepower.

But wait, Eddie is OLD. As an elder, he should set a good example and drive an economical car. The Honda Fit is certainly that… but it’s slow. Really slow. And werewolves are fast and hunt in packs. Same for screaming teenage fans, come to think of it…

So how about something like… the Audi R8! It’s got the speed… the looks… and the sound… to be the ideal car for a vampire. One small problem. Some guy in a metal suit named Tony Stark already thought of it.

And besides, werewolves are all terrain creatures. Outrunning them will take a vehicle that can go anywhere. The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor can literally fly over the ground, smelly dog patties and all.

But a truck is a bit much for a night on the town. Perhaps a Porsche 911 Cabriolet? You can’t beat top-down motoring on a cool night in a 911. Eddie will just have to be careful not to retract the top during the day, else he’ll burst into flames, and…Wait, he what? His skin GLISTENS? Glistens? Are you serious?

So Eddie kept it practical with the XC 60 for New Moon, but maybe he can try one of these sweet rides for the next movie.

The concept for the presentation was good, but the output was bad. I know its not suppose to win a Nobel prize but c'mon, at least try to make an effort to get a better reviewer or presenter.
