    • Heico Sportiv tunes the Volvo V70 wagon.
    • A limited run of 100 cars will be available.
    • Prices start at $85,800.

WEITERSTADT, Germany — The Volvo V70 T6 AWD R-Design has gone under the knife at Heico Sportiv, the German-based tuner of Swedish cars. A limited run of 100 cars, all painted metallic sapphire black, is planned for Europe this summer, with prices starting at $85,800.

Heico has boosted output modestly to 326 horsepower on the turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, with torque climbing to 339 pound-feet. The engine drives all four wheels through a six-speed automatic with manual-shift capability.

Heico says the tuned version will ramble from rest to 60 mph in less than 5.9 seconds, topping out electronically at 155 mph. Average fuel economy on the combined European driving cycle is 22 miles per gallon.

The tuning house has dropped ride height by 1.2 inches, fitting its sport suspension package, shocks and springs as well as a set of custom 19-inch wheels with Pirelli 245/35R19 performance tires. The car comes with an extra set of Pirelli winter treads mounted on the original 18-inch Volvo R-Design wheels.

Look for other subtle Heico touches, including the sport exhaust system and the custom gearshift knob made of machined aluminum and leather.

Cut that price in half and I'd buy one...love the looks.  Def better than the psuedo-SUV XC-70.

85 grand for a volvo stationwagon?  I don't care if it had 1000 hp.  That is ridiculous.

Must be a direct conversion. A CTS-V Sportwagon (even though I'm not a fan of it) is a much better deal.
Hell there are so many more cars worth having for $85K.

wow 85k for such a modest tune/modification? I'm guessing it was a straight conversion from Euro...

I dont know why Insideline and other magazines keep torturing the US audience with cars we can never get.

I just hope Volvo is smart enough to bring the V60 over to the US. ESPECIALLY in the T6 form: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9G5N1WJDGM&feature=player_embedded
