- Volvo unveils a limited-edition S60 tuned by Heico Sportiv.
- S60 T6 Design is tweaked for an additional 26 horsepower.
- Only 100 special-edition sedans will be built.
COLOGNE, Germany — Only 100 European buyers will get a limited-edition Volvo S60 T6 Design by Heico Sportiv, developed in conjunction with the famous German tuner, which has been an official Volvo partner since 2008.
The four-door S60 T6 has the six-cylinder gasoline turbo engine of the standard S60, tweaked in signature Heico style to make 330 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque, an improvement of 26 hp and 15 lb-ft over the original. Heico uses e.motion technology (short for "efficiency in motion"), which is an engine-management-enhancing system using a supplementary ECU, the tuner says.
The AWD sedan has a six-speed automatic Geartronic transmission. It goes from zero to 60 mph in less than 5.8 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
In appearance, the Heico Sportiv S60 T6 has a two-piece integrated front spoiler, a rear skirt, sport springs that lower the Volvo 1.18 inches and a quad exhaust. The 19-inch diamond-cut, matte-finish wheels are fitted with Pirelli tires — and a set of winter Pirellis comes with the car as well.
The Heico Volvo is based on the Summum trim level, which includes the expected Volvo safety and luxury features plus heated front seats, rearview camera, RTI navigation system, aluminum and leather trim and a numbered Limited Edition plate.
The Volvo S60 T6 Design by Heico Sportiv goes on sale in Europe this month, priced at the equivalent of $81,930, including tax. It's available only in one color: metallic sapphire black.

To simply put it.. Black makes the car look bad ass. Yes it's hotter, and dirt may show more easily, but it looks great, and at 82K you should have enough money in you account to have a garage and be able to afford a few car washes.
The down side, is unless someone is in need of this niche vehicle, a 556 HP CTS V is better option in every way.

Black is just a color, with the same problems as other dark colors. Perhaps you are overanalyzing things.

Volvo just needed a quick way to balance some small hanging budget and make a meek PR statement. boo.

I never understood the fascination wth Black vehicles.........they get much hotter, they show the dirt more and they show scratches ad mars in the paint more...............it would be easier just to get a tatoo that says"I'm a bad boy bad ass". It seems that those who "buy into this" are trying too hard to project this to others.
For 82k I want to be able to choose from a few colors.
