Priced: 2011 Volvo C70

ROCKLEIGH, New Jersey — The redesigned 2011 Volvo C70 convertible starts at $40,800, including an $850 destination charge. Volvo said it has added more standard features to the C70, including a five-speed automatic transmission, Sirius Satellite Radio and "Sovereign Hide" leather upholstery.

The 2010 Volvo C70 started at $40,850, including an $850 destination charge.

"The [2011] price is inclusive of several standard features that were previously optional and represent an approximate $4,000 savings from a similarly equipped 2010 C70," said Volvo in a statement.

The 2011 C70 gets a redesigned exterior that adds a more wedge-shaped nose and a larger air intake. The cabin gets upgrades that include a redesigned instrument panel. The 2011 C70 is equipped with a 227-horsepower turbocharged five-cylinder engine.

A "Dynamic Trim" package on the 2011 C70 bundles 18-inch "Midir" diamond-cut alloy wheels, dual xenon headlights with active bending light and a sport steering wheel, and adds $1,000 to the bottom line. A $1,000 Convenience package includes keyless drive, a HomeLink remote garage door opener, rear park assist and an integrated compass. Metallic paint is a $550 option, while a blind-spot information system adds another $700 to the bottom line. Cranberry leather seating surfaces are a new no-cost option.
