WOLFSBURG, Germany — Volkswagen's R Division has created a brace of sporty packages in Europe for the Touareg, dubbed R-Line and R-Line Plus. Prices range from $2,550 to $11,500, depending on choice of engine and trim level.
Built on a sport-tuned chassis, the basic R-Line package bundles new R-Design front and rear bumpers, a matte-black rear diffuser shrouding oval tailpipes, roof spoiler, front lip spoiler, body-color side skirts, chrome door trim and 20-inch Mallory wheels.
The cabin features stainless-steel pedals, a heated leather multifunction steering wheel with gloss-black inserts, a leather-wrapped gearshift lever with aluminum inlays and stainless-steel door sill plates. The R-Line Plus package adds 12-way power sport buckets in two-tone leather.
Inside Line says: For the time being, the R-Line model is not offered on the Touareg Hybrid. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

Also can be had with a 335 horse diesel that gets mileage in the 20s, that we'll never see here. Of course, that model costs the equivalent of about $94k across the pond, before you add $11,500 for the R-line plus. And I thought it was expensive over here!
Great looking vehicle, though. Love the seats.
