SIEGEN, Germany — B&B Tuning has infused the Volkswagen Tiguan with performance attributes from a horde of modifications, including engine tweaks that increase output by up to 100 horsepower.
The big power gains come from the level three package for the 2.0-liter engine, which uses a new turbocharger and intercooler to raise the engine output to 300 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque. The level one and two upgrades for that engine boost power to 220 and 240 hp. B&B also offers three tuning levels for Europe's 1.4-liter TSI engine and a bump to 220 hp for the 2.0-liter diesel engine.
In addition to powertrain upgrades, B&B has developed body modifications and suspension upgrades. The 14-piece aero kit includes front and rear fascias, side skirts and a rear spoiler. A sport suspension lowers the car 1.6 inches, and wheels are offered in sizes from 18-20 inches.
