HERNDON, Virginia — Just in time for Cupid to send off his annual arrows, Volkswagen has announced a special-edition Beetle convertible called the Blush. VW notes that it's the only currently available 2009 New Beetle Convertible with leather seating.
The 2009 Volkswagen New Beetle Blush gets red leather interior and convertible top, a red boot cover and a White Gold metallic exterior color. Unique 17-inch alloy wheels additionally dress up the Beetle.
Like other 2009 New Beetles, the Blush Beetle has a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine making 150 horsepower, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Volkswagen has priced the Blush at $26,990, a $1,000 premium over the regular Beetle convertible, and says it will produce it in limited numbers.
