    What are they?

    What's special about them?
For 2001, there are new upscale trim levels available for the New Beetle and Jetta. The New Beetle Sport is a limited-edition car that offers additional feature content such as leather sport seats (the only Beetle model to offer them), 17-inch alloy wheels, an eight-speaker Monsoon sound system, a sunroof and a cold weather package. It's powered by the 150-horsepower, 1.8-liter turbocharged engine and has an MSRP of $20,950.

The Jetta Wolfsburg is also a limited-edition model. Based on the Jetta GLS 1.8T, it comes with a sport-tuned suspension, 16-inch BBS wheels, and leather trim on the steering wheel, shift knob, and brake handle. The Wolfsburg package costs $19,600.

    Why should you care?
If you want a Beetle with leather seats, the Sport model is for you. The Wolfsburg edition Jetta isn't as special, but it does net you attractive wheels and tires (and those spiffy Wolfsburg badges) for only $250 more than a regular Jetta GLS 1.8T.
