The 2010 Volkswagen Golf R20 Spy Video previews VW's new top-of-the-line Golf that sadly won't be making to America.

Already confirmed for production by Volkswagen, this high-powered version of the Golf is on its way to dealers later this year.

Unlike the previous R32, this Golf will use a retuned version of the GTIís 2.0-liter engine rather than a larger V6.  

Itís expected to generate roughly 260-horsepower, so Volkswagen will use all-wheel drive to get it to the ground.  

Volkswagen also promises unique bodywork for the R20, but judging by the looks of this prototype it wonít be dramatically different.

Whether it will ever make it to the U.S. is also unclear. Expect to hear a decision when the car officially debuts this fall at the Frankfurt auto show.
