- Toyota plans to unveil the Prius+, a seven-passenger companion to the Prius V concept that was introduced at last month's Detroit auto show.
- The Yaris HSD is the smallest Toyota yet to feature the company's Hybrid Synergy Drive system.
- Toyota also will display a closer-to-production version of the FT-86 sports car.
GENEVA — Toyota will bring even more European-bound hybrids to its display at the upcoming 2011 Geneva Auto Show, including the Yaris HSD and the Prius+.
The Yaris HSD is the latest — and smallest — Toyota to be fitted with a version of the automaker's Hybrid Synergy Drive. Toyota, in its press release, said the car will "incorporate several hybrid-specific styling cues in a forward-looking design execution." The buzz in Europe has the production version slated to debut this fall at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The Prius+, aimed primarily at European customers, appears to be a seven-passenger companion to the Prius V concept that was introduced at last month's Detroit show. Toyota has released a teaser showing only a small corner of the vehicle, saying the production version will have the lowest fuel consumption of any seven-passenger MPV on the market.
Inside Line says: It may sound sacrilegious, but wouldn't Toyota grab even more attention if it showed a performance-oriented hybrid edition of the FT-86? — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

Are RAV4's sold in Europe? We'll probably see it in an autoshow that takes place in the US.
