Toyota Tacoma All-Terrain Gamer Is Not for Couch Potatoes: 2009 SEMA Auto Show

LAS VEGAS — The cleverly done Toyota Tacoma All-Terrain Gamer at the 2009 SEMA Auto Show is for the well-rounded individual who likes to rock climb and ski by day and then veg out with video games by night. A mini-fridge energy drink dispenser, Cannondale bikes, and an Xbox gaming system are among the key amenities.

Using a 2009 Tacoma Double Cab Long Bed PreRunner V6 as a base, The B.A.D. Company removed the B-pillars and installed double gullwing doors to boost space and create a "patio like" shelter for gamers. Outboard chairs create a "theater seating" experience. Four interior monitors were placed on two swing arms to let the vehicle convert easily from a "video haven to a drivable truck," said Toyota.

Outdoorsy touches include a wide cargo box attached to a roof-mounted roll bar. Bike racks carry Cannondale RZ ONE Twenty and Cannondale Moto 4 high-performance mountain bikes.

Exterior cues include three base colors of a custom metallic anthracite inspired by Xbox, drilled aluminum interior panels, an acrylic hood with an engine view port, a 66-inch plasma monitor with a custom roll cage enclosure, a tonneau cover with a "craze" paint technique, a blacked-out front grille and Xbox graphics.

Performance modifications include a 304-horsepower 4.0-liter supercharged V6 from Toyota Racing Development.

Toyota says the All-Terrain Gamer is expected to make the rounds at a variety of consumer events following the 2009 SEMA Auto Show.
