LAS VEGAS — No wrap-up of the 2008 SEMA Show would be complete without a mention of the 2009 Toyota Matrix 6-String, created in conjunction with Fender Musical Instruments.
Toyota notes that this custom Matrix is aimed at "independent males who are a little rebellious in nature."
The exterior gets a four-piece body kit dolled up in House of Kolors Kandy Brandy Wine. Other exterior details include custom Klassen 22-inch wheels and classic pinstriping paint. The cabin gets reproduction 1960s black-and-silver carpet, a Sony Playstation 3, a 42-inch plasma-screen HDTV, accent lighting and black suede visors.
Performance tweaks include JBT big brakes and calipers, braided stainless-steel brake lines and a height-adjustable coil-over suspension.
Fender contributed a custom Stratocaster guitar to this Matrix package.
