While its a relevant car to alot of people in rough terrain. To put it in perspective for those who don't know it, this is to some what Land Rover is to the U.K. Its a well done utility vehicle and while it does the job well, its not exactly worth the cash over a Land Rover for the every day person (aka those who buy the pretty Range Rover and never touch any more dirt than to drive through a pot hole). Its Toyota badge brings it into a lower standing for most (being that its synonymous with cheap and boring) than if it were to carry the badge of say LR or MB, but its a just as capable SUV.
Just too bad they don't update the styling very often. The last update is horrible.

Have you ever seen a Land Cruiser TV commercial?
No need. They still sell so well without commercials.

70k for a Toyota Land Cruiser, please. Its an ok vehicle, but not worth the price. Even the Lexus version of this vehicle looks like something Hyundai may have designed back in the day. Buy a Sequoia instead. I don't even understand why they still sell the Land Cruiser. The FJ just needs a more muscular design. Toyota needs take some wrangler DNA for the FJ.
You'll be lucky if you see a Land Cruiser on the road. Its time to stop the production of the Land Cruiser. The land Cruiser was desirable twenty years ago. When it was the only vehicle of its kind. Today there are much better choices for that kind of money and less ( Benz GL, Range Rover, QX56, Sequoia, ).

I had no idea that a Land Cruiser started out at $70k. Are people really paying that much for those things? Where's the high price come from? What does the Lexus version start at?

@ vantageman- I completely agree. Its not like they're even any good off road, wich is where the old ones acceled. Now they're pavement pounders. Check out the Lexus version, the LX. It starts at $79k. WHY???? Its gotta be merely an excersize in "because I can".

Why does a landcruiser cost almost $70,000??? Seriously..., talk about a waste of money there is nothing about that car that makes it worth that much

Dont think anyone buying the Landcruiser would ever care, even if it were a $2000 hike.
Most of the landcruisers sold are over $76,000
