I'm James Riswick for Inside Line and this week we have new spy video of the upcoming 2012 Toyota Camry. Caught hot weather testing in Death Valley, the redesigned Camry looks like it has a slightly more chiseled look than the current model. Toyota officials have gone on record saying that this Camry will be "remarkable" in terms of both safety and handling. We have no doubt about the first promise, but the second one will be quite a surprise if Toyota comes through on it. Expect to see more on this new Camry in the coming weeks, but until then, this is as good a look as you're going to get.

No matter how they slice it -- Toyota's midsize entry still looks like a melted bar of soap.

I need to get myself to Death Valley. It's like the Roswell of cars.
I really do hope that Toyota improves the handling of the Camry, but after seeing it driving beside a Ford Taurus, I hope they are only benchmarking the fuel economy of the Ecoboost engine.

If IL ends up testing this against the Sonata/Optima head-2-head....I think the whole IL rag would implode! Like (in an agonizing voice) "decision...too hard...head....hurting....organs...shutting down...*flatline*"
lol...no but really...its just a Camry!
