TORRANCE, California — The 2010 Toyota 4Runner will make an auspicious — if none too subtle — debut next month at the State Fair of Texas.
Three years ago, the Japanese automaker pulled the wraps off its redesigned Tundra pickup at the Texas state fair. Since then, the truck has sold well below expectations.
The 4Runner is getting a full redesign for model year 2010. The fifth-generation model will be larger, with a roomier cabin and additional amenities, according to Toyota.
Inside Line says: But it still looks like a truck, judging from the teaser shot — and that's not necessarily a good thing in today's market. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
