The package will be available on two-wheel-drive 4Runner Sport Edition models in April. Toyota has not announced pricing on that model.
The package puts a premium on cosmetic touches and includes 18-inch six-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, color-keyed grille, special badging, chrome exhaust tip and black-painted tubular side steps and tubular roof rack. Exterior colors include Black, Titanium Metallic and Blizzard Pearl.
The cabin features a new audio system with an integrated portable Tom Tom personal navigation device, which Toyota says is a first for the brand. The device provides real-time traffic and weather updates. Other standard interior features include an AM/FM/CD system with six speakers, Bluetooth, Alcantara fabric seat inserts and dark charcoal bolsters with eight-way power driver seat and four-way power passenger seats. Sporty cues include a leather-trimmed shift knob, perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, chrome door handles and black faux wood interior trim.
What this means to you: You can jazz up the 4Runner for under two grand with this new appearance package. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
