BOTTROP, Germany — Brabus continues to boost its green cred in Germany, via the tuning house's Zero Emission division. Its latest creation is the Tesla Roadster Sport Brabus Green Package.
Changes to the car are relatively subtle. Exterior mods include the addition of a front spoiler lip, rear wing and rear diffuser, all rendered in carbon fiber, plus LED daytime running lights in the grille and underfloor "space lights" that are activated when the door is opened or the keyless fob is pressed.
Brabus also has fitted its own Monoblock S alloy wheels, shod in front with 215/35ZR18 rubber and in the rear with 255/30ZR19s.
The tuner can paint the Tesla in virtually any hue, including matte colors and special-effects treatments with real crystals. In addition, the Brabus custom shop can handcraft a full leather cockpit — including leather on the floor — and can add such goodies as scuff plates with illuminated Brabus logos.
Because the Tesla is a pure electric car, Brabus adds another spiffy touch — what it calls a "space sound generator" that permits the driver to select from such simulated sounds as "a typical V8, a racecar or two futuristic soundscapes called Beam and Warp," the company says.
As a bonus, Brabus has teamed with RWE, the German electricity provider, to supply owners with a high-tech quick-charging station that comes with free electricity for the first 30,000 kilometers (about 18,640 miles), plus a one-year pass to all RWE public charging stations in Germany. The price of the Green Package includes installation of the charging unit in the customer's garage.
Inside Line says: Now here's a novel approach — a traditional tuning house with a new division that focuses exclusively on "eco-friendly vehicle concepts" to "redefine the sports car." — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

@fantastic: Not exactly sure what you mean by that, but it is based on a Lotus Elise (if you meant they look alike).
