LONDON — Tesla Motors said a right-hand-drive version of the Roadster is going into production for the U.K. and other markets, with test drives available at the company's exclusive showroom in Knightsbridge. The projected price is $137,850.

Tesla said the 2010 model gets a number of improvements, including an upgraded audio system and better noise-reduction materials.

Tesla points out that U.K. companies that purchase a Roadster can deduct the price of the car from pretax profits. Other benefits including free parking and free charging at various locations around the city, as well as exemption from the London congestion charge and the upcoming showroom tax.
