You guys are kidding right?  "with a good V6, . . . then I am game".
The 0-60 times on this car (5.6 secs) will out run just about every V6 car, and even some V8s.  This car can accelerate faster than 95% of all 4 door sedans.  Check the specs before you comment.  Comparing to BMW, you need a 5.0L V8 or an M Series to beat this car on 0-60.  535i (no), 545i, (no).

And yes, the first release cars will have the optional 300mi battery, so they will cost $80K - $90K, with all options and taxes.  Anyone reserving a Model S now will have to wait 16 months anyway, so by then, the cars configured for $57K to $67K will be coming off the production line.

And no, it's not a Hybrid/Electric vehicle.  That would be Fisker.

Last year, I drove one of Tesla's Roadsters.  Half way through the test drive, I goosed the "go" pedal, it scared the crap out of me.  My first comment was "this shouldn't be street legal".  Later I found out that the Tesla Roadster does 0-60 in 3.7sec.

The first release cars will be $90k (more or less, much speculation) "Signature Series" versions, NOT the "under $60k" versions cited in the video.

Some of these comments are just rediculous clearly car guys dont post here. How does a "window line" whatever that is exactly make this car look like a Pontiac. Not only just a Pontiac but a GXP which last time I checked is a trim level not an actual Pontiac Model............news flash YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!! STOP POSTING NOW!!!1

    IF only it wasn't a Hybrid/Electric Vehicle.

This thing with a V6 would be quite a seller in the US.

perhaps I need to see it in full trim- but that window line says "pontiac" to me.  Looks like a GXP no?

Seriously guys, if you want a real spy video of the complete model S I can take one for you.  They've been driving it around Los Altos Hills undisguised for over a year.   They have a few different ones (all black) but the most complete wears those nice wheels.  It's got totally complete front and rear facias so you can see the whole look.  I see one every other week because their headquarters is half a mile from my house.  It's not like they're trying to hide this thing.  And yes, it looks pretty good.  When following you it resembles a Porsche Panamera at first glance due to the low, wide, agresive stance, but then as it passes it has a very pleasing side profile and the back end is beautiful.

i saw one on the street recently, disguised and mocked up very similar to the one in this video. it looked very very pretty, smaller than it seems in photos, very sleek. it made a high-pitched whirling sound as it drove away. it was probably the coolest prototype i've seen on the road. i want one, bad

This is what American luxury is about today.  Lincoln needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

Between the Fisker and now this good looking Tesla, America is in good hands. Caddy has nice platforms under way, but must make a luxury hybrid-electric sedan to move forward.  Best thing is for Caddy to take over Fisker as they use the same engine, but let Fisker design all Caddys going forward.

Saw one of these without any camo on Almaden Epwy in San Jose a couple of weeks ago. The Tesla logo was clear as day. And boy did it go. It took off as soon as the green light went on and looked properly fast.

Dang the Model S looks good, even under heavy camo. Too bad that it's an EV, with a good V6 like the Lexus 2GR-FSE or Nissan VQ then I am game.
