I must say, I am very interesting in what Tesla is and will be doing with their cars.  I'm looking forward to having years of safety, crash worthiness, and reliability data for their models.  $50,000 for an aluminum, electric, performance car that can go 300 miles, that is safe and reliable is, is a bargain.
