2010 Suzuki Kizashi Massaged for 2009 SEMA Auto Show

BREA, California — The 2010 Suzuki Kizashi is proving to be a tantalizing canvas for customizers, who are experimenting with modifications from the door handles to under the hood. At least four versions of the Kizashi are bound for the 2009 SEMA Auto Show, including Road Race Motorsports' Platinum Edition Kizashi, the automaker said on Wednesday.

Details on the Platinum Edition include Carbontrix custom bumpers, rear spats and diffuser. Road Race also lavished such touches as a custom grille, vented hood and blackened roof on Suzuki's newest vehicle. Under the hood is a custom intake system, a Zeitronix ZT-2 data logging system and Road Race engine management.

The Delta Tech Engineering Kizashi gets a cold air intake and performance exhausts as well as an RK Sport body kit, Katzkin custom seating and Delta Tech LED and HID lighting.

The Westside Auto Group Kizashi Soleil is kicked up a notch with two-tone paint in Napa Merlot/Bronzed Amber, redesigned front and rear fenders, a fabricated grille and a redesigned deck lid with a GT Super Car spoiler. Even the door handles on this version have been shaved and modified. Other modifications include a custom Yoshimura exhaust and Bridgestone Potenza tires mounted on R-Worx seven-spoke wheels.

Import Tuner magazine also had a go at the Kizashi with performance enhancements, suspension modifications and cosmetic changes.

The Kizashi isn't the only Suzuki bound for the 2009 SEMA Auto Show. The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Equator is a "more aggressive interpretation" of the off-roader, said Suzuki in a statement. Performance modifications include Doug Thorley long-tube headers and cat-back exhaust. Other touches include Bushwacker fender flares, AMP Research bed extender and LightForce lights.

Inside Line says: The Suzuki Kizashi — already getting a lot of attention from tuners — is on tap to be one of the darlings of the 2009 SEMA Auto Show. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent

I disagree with icecubefasho...those cars are kind of cool..might be a lil small for my taste, but for the "Toyota YARIS" crowd, who knows...i like the exhaust tips on the Platinum Edition...and that paint on the WESTSIDE is clean...
