Suzuki had intended to keep its new midsize pickup — a sibling of the Nissan Frontier — under wraps until media days next week. But Truck Trend magazine decided to get the jump on the competition and show the Equator a tad early.
Incidentally, Frontier sales last year tumbled 17 percent to 64,000 units, as the entire compact-truck segment swooned.
