TOKYO — Fuji Heavy Industries, the Japanese parent of Subaru, has released a teaser sketch of the XV ahead of its world debut next month at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The Subaru XV, unveiled in concept form earlier this year at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, "defines a new generation of Subaru crossover vehicles," the automaker said.
The XV concept introduced in Shanghai appeared to preview the next-generation Impreza Outback Sport hatchback. Some of its styling cues were reflected in the redesigned 2012 Subaru Impreza sedan that debuted at the 2011 New York Auto Show in April.
The XV concept in Shanghai featured a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine coupled with a continuously variable transmission.
Inside Line says: We liked the Shanghai concept; presumably, the production version for Frankfurt won't swerve too much from that basic shape.

Just don't call it a B9 or tribeca, it is best to let anyone who remembers it just forget about it.

I really hope the new Impreza Outback really is more "Outback-like". A significant increase in ground clearance and the ability to get a basic one without the stupid clear lense tail lights and alloy wheels would be spectacular!!!

I love beating dead horses so let me just say how sick I am of these lame 'teaser' photos from the large scale production companies. I don't even know why I read this article. Why am I even commenting? Ugh.
