What's New for 2012: All Makes

2012 Subaru Forester: After adding a new engine with more power and better fuel economy last year, changes to the Forester are minimal for 2012. There's a new height-adjustable passenger seat as well as a new optional navigation system on 2.5 X Limited and Touring and 2.5 XT Touring models. The navigation package includes a navigation system, rearview camera, HD radio, Bluetooth, iPod control, iTunes tagging, SMS text messaging capability, XM Satellite Radio and more.

2012 Subaru Impreza: All new and fully redesigned for 2012, base Imprezas offer sedan and five-door body styles as well as more interior room and better fuel economy from a new 2.0-liter boxer engine (27 city/36 highway mpg). Improved fuel economy is due in part to a new continuously variable transmission available on Premium, Limited and Sport Limited models. All-wheel drive is, of course, standard.

The Impreza Outback Sport has been eliminated for 2012.

2012 Subaru Impreza WRX: The WRX remains on the current Impreza platform with minor exterior changes. Premium and Limited models offer a new navigation system.

2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STI: The STI remains on the current Impreza platform and offers new 18-inch wheels on four-door models plus minor exterior changes. A new navigation system is available on all WRX STI models.

2012 Subaru Legacy: Several additions are included in the Premium package for the 2012 Legacy. An upgraded audio system including Bluetooth, satellite radio and iPod controls is standard. Also, there's a new optional Harman Kardon display-type audio system with a 4.3-inch screen, iTunes tagging, satellite radio and nine speakers. Bluetooth switches on the steering wheel are standard on Premium models. Foglights are now standard on Limited models.

2012 Subaru Outback: Outbacks will get the same audio changes as the Legacy in 2012; an upgraded audio system includes Bluetooth, satellite radio and iPod controls. Also, there's a new optional Harman Kardon display-type audio system with a 4.3-inch screen, iTunes tagging, satellite radio and nine speakers. Bluetooth switches on the steering wheel are standard on Premium models. There's also a revised roof crossbar design.

2012 Subaru Tribeca: The only change to the Tribeca for 2012 is a revised head restraint design.
