Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 Released on Forza Motorsport 3

ZEEWOLDE, Netherlands — Spyker has made its C8 Laviolette LM85 available on Forza Motorsport 3, Xbox 360's racing sim, ahead of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race that kicks off on June 12.

The car is available in the game as part of the Exotic Car Pack upgrade, which was released on May 11 and costs users 400 Microsoft Points. This is the first time Xbox gamers have had the chance to race one of Spyker's cars. Some of the other exotics available in the package are a 2010 Gumpert Apollo S, a 2010 SSC Ultimate Aero, a 2010 Mosler MT900S and a 2010 Spada Vetture Sport Codatronca TS.

The C8 Laviolette LM85 celebrates the participation of the Spyker Squadron, the company's racing team, in the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans. Only 24 are being produced, and Spyker says the "LM85" name reflects the starting number of Spyker GT2 racing cars at Le Mans since its first entry in 2002.

The car features a lightweight aluminum race-inspired body and a stiff space-frame chassis, as well as a double-wishbone suspension. It has a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 sourced from Audi that generates 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Its exterior is covered in a burnt almond/orange color with charcoal-tinted contrasting roof panels and a unique gunmetal "S" logo.
