Smart Launches Online Social Network

LONDON — Daimler AG's Smart brand has launched Destination Smart, a new online social networking site that aims to attract and link owners in the U.K.

The dedicated Web site bills itself as "the official community" for Smart owners. Participation is free.

The interactive site enables members to communicate with each other through forums and share profiles, images and videos. Members also can contact Smart experts and are kept abreast of news and owner events across Europe, including the upcoming Smart Festival 2009 in September.

The Destination Smart site was created and developed in cooperation with Digital Annexe, an online marketing agency, and Martech Social, a social media specialist.
