GENEVA — Smart said it is going for a "springlike" feeling with its Smart Fortwo Edition Limited Three, which is set for a world debut at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. The special-edition vehicle boasts a melon green metallic paint job and will be built as a limited series, said the automaker.
The Smart Fortwo Edition Limited Three will start at the U.S. equivalent of $19,794 for the coupe model and $23,684 for the cabrio when it goes on sale in Europe.
Standard features include micro hybrid drive and an automatic start-stop system. Control electronics shut down the 71-horsepower engine when the driver brakes and the vehicle's speed falls below 5 miles per hour. The engine starts again when the driver releases the brake.
The cabin gets fabric in melon green with brown accents.
Power steering, heated seats, a lockable glove compartment and a sound system with five speakers and MP3 interface are optional.
