GENEVA — Skoda, the Czech affiliate of the Volkswagen group, has unveiled the production version of the Yeti at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. The Yeti is a compact crossover that's based on a 2005 concept of the same name.

The five-door Yeti measures just over 165 inches long and rides on 17-inch wheels and tires. It can be ordered in front- and four-wheel-drive variants.

In Europe, Skoda is offering buyers a choice of two gasoline and three diesel engines, ranging from 1.2 to 2.0 liters. The top engine is a common-rail turbodiesel rated at 168 hp.
