FRANKFURT, Germany — At the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, Skoda, the Czech affiliate of the Volkswagen Group, unveiled the MissionL, a "design concept" that previews a new global compact sedan called Lauretta that will be launched later this year in India, followed in 2012 by rollouts in China, Russia and Europe.
Skoda Chairman Winfried Vahland said the company is "going to present a new car approximately every six months over the next few years" to help bolster its target of reaching 1.5 million vehicle sales a year by 2018.
Few details about the MissionL were disclosed, other than an oblique reference to the car's "clean, minimalistic lines" and "youthful and contemporary appearance."
Inside Line says: Um, that doesn't sound like the rather stodgy design we saw.

Everybody sees a different thing here,
for me, it looks like a Jetta with Civic (or Neon) taillights and Buick style grille.

it's not bad looking at all. I too saw the VW jetta, but more aggressive and i think it works. It's the electrical gremlins that will continue to keep me out of VW dealerships...

Volkswagen group, the new old GM! Own everything, rebadge your cars and sell them under different brands, keep quality control low. You too can be a house of cards waiting for a strong wind. Good luck VW!
"VW, profit over quality" anything to be number 1!

It's already bland... no thanks. Attractive, but dull.

Wow!! This thang is wrong at so many levels, looks like photochop from various manufacturer including Subaru, Kia, VW, etc.
Hey, maybe I can become a car designer too...I'm good with photochop!
