REIFNITZ, Austria — The Skoda Fabia vRS 2000 concept continues the invasion of the mighty mites at the annual GTI Meet this week at Worthersee, Austria.
The four-passenger roadster was created for the event and draws many of its elements from the Fabia Super 2000 rally car. Volkswagen-owned Skoda did not provide many details about the concept — which was created specifically for the event. The regular Skoda Fabis vRS gets a 178-horsepower 1.4-liter TSI four-cylinder engine.
Details on the concept include a sharply sloping windshield and green exterior paint.
The GTI Meet highlighted small, turbocharged cars, most notably the Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro concept and the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35.
Inside Line says: Skoda is largely an afterthought for U.S. consumers, but this striking concept makes you wonder how the brand would do in these parts.

Extraordinary! Love that front end! Forget the roadster, I wanna see it in a two-box hatch!
