2010 Scion xD Pricing Announced

TORRANCE, California — Scion on Wednesday said its 2010 Scion xD will start at $15,470 for the base model with a five-speed manual transmission, a $150 increase over the outgoing model. The price includes a $670 destination charge.

The 2010 Scion xD gets new standard and optional audio systems, along with standard vehicle stability control for its third model year, said the automaker.

The uplevel 2010 Scion xD with a four-speed automatic transmission starts at $16,270, including shipping.

Scion said the xD's standard Pioneer audio system gets new features, including an organic electroluminescent screen, iPod/USB connectivity, Advanced Sound Retriever and a subwoofer RCA output. The optional Alpine Premium audio system adds a 4.3-inch color touch-panel thin-film-transistor screen, HD Radio technology, Media Expander and both front and rear RCA outputs.

The xD is equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 128 horsepower.
