TORRANCE, California — The base 2011 Scion xB Release Series 8.0 starts at $19,125, including a $720 destination charge, said Scion on Wednesday. The latest limited-edition vehicle from Scion is on display at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.

It arrives in showrooms in late November.

The automatic-transmission version of the xB Release Series 8.0 starts at $20,075, including shipping.

A body-colored rear spoiler adds another $320 to the bottom line.

The xB RS 8.0 comes with a four-piece body kit designed by Kenstyle, including aggressive front and rear lower lips and side skirts. The special model features "Voodoo Blue" exterior paint. The cabin features black fabric with blue highlights. Floor mats get the xB RS 8.0 logo.

The pricing reflects a slight increase over the 2010 xB Release Series 7.0, which started at $18,990, including a $670 destination charge.

Scion said only 2,000 units of the xB RS 8.0 will be built.

Inside Line says: You'll pay a premium for this special model over the base xB, but that head-turning Voodoo Blue paint job is probably worth it. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent

Not bad and they sell all of them so toyota/scion is doing something right. Please put wheels on it though as this kills the look. I know most people but rims for these and you want to make money of the accesory wheels you sell but jack up the price 500 and put some nice 17" wheels on it. You dont have to go 18" but a nice 17" with a lip would really make the car that much better. I dont know why but I like the overdone aero kit.

Toyota better slap A LOT of money on the hood of this one to move it off dealer lots.  Typical crappy Toyota interior and underpowered engine I expected from them.

If only 2000 units will be built, why wouldn't Toyota also include a set of 18" wheels to go along with this package? Those silly little 15" steel wheels with hubcaps look pretty cr@ppy with the head turning special edition Voodoo Blue paint job and that body kit.
