- Toyota announces pricing on its face-lifted 2011 Scion xB.
- 2011 models are priced $150 above the outgoing 2010 models.
- The 2011 xB gets a restyled front bumper with larger air intakes, new honeycomb grille, and revamped headlamps and taillamps.
TORRANCE, California — Toyota said its mildly face-lifted 2011 Scion xB, which begins arriving later this month at U.S. dealers, will get a modest $150 price bump, to $16,670 for the manual-transmission model and $17,620 with the automatic. The stickers include a $670 shipping charge.
For model year 2011, the xB gets a restyled front bumper with larger air intakes, new honeycomb grille plus revamped headlamps and taillamps, as well as two new colors, Army Rock Metallic and Elusive Blue Metallic.
The front seats have been redesigned, with larger bolsters and new fabric. The gauge cluster has been updated, the steering gets a tilt-and-telescoping function, and a center console with sliding armrest has been added.
Inside Line says: Still looks like an xB — and still not quite as striking as the boxy original. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

this new body of scion xb 2011 is much better than xb's body of 2010.... do everyone knows if when they gonna release the xb 2011 to market?

Yikes...I wonder if they'll let you order the old grille as a dealer accessory.
On the plus side...dual reverse lamps! AND amber turn signals (or so it appears from the photo)!
The mileage is a disappointment, but this is in a different category than the Fit in terms of seating height and overall vehicle height & width (and weight).

Kinda agree with xoquixxoqafxo, i think. Why is it still using the old Camry 2.4L engine? Why not use the newer, more powerful, mroe efficient 2.5L? I've driven the xB with the 2.4, and it's not bad, especially on highways. But a little extra oomph and a little bit more efficiency would go a long way. (It certainly cannot take a smaller engine.)

too bad this thing still uses the camry's thirsty 2AZ-FE motor. For that reason, i'll take a honda fit any day over this.

"Honeycomb's big, yeah yeah yeah...it's not small, no, no no"...
Or to quote the Talking Heads: "Same as it ever was...."

it looks different. kind of looks like the Scion XD in a way.
the rear looks okay, at least the single reverse light is gone and integrated with the rest of the taillamps.
