TORRANCE, California — It's Scion's version of a recession special. The Toyota youth brand announced that the 2010 xB will not see a price increase when it arrives in dealerships in late April.
Even better, the automaker said the 2010 xB will get a new standard 160-watt Pioneer head unit.
The base price for the 2010 Scion xB is $16,420, including a $670 destination charge for the five-speed manual-transmission model. The uplevel 2010 Scion xB with a four-speed automatic starts at $17,370, including destination.
Inside Line says: Scion wisely avoids a price increase on the carryover xB for the 2010 model year. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
