What Is It?
Scion xA Concept
What's Special About It?
One look will tell you that this is no ordinary xA. Of course, Scion wants you to believe that every xA is something different, but this SEMA show concept really is unique in that it wears no exterior finish paint. That's right, this sucker is all primer giving it a slightly retro look that's strangely attractive. It's intended to promote Scion's mantra of maximum buyer customization since with no paint previously applied the car is literally a blank canvas.
Why Should You Care?
With enough positive reaction, Scion could very well make this a factory option for the entire Scion lineup. No word on whether you'll actually get a discount for going without finish paint, but the complexity involved in making it happen is likely to torpedo any savings so don't get your hopes up.
