    6 Ratings

TORRANCE, California — Scion's newest limited edition, the tC Release Series 6.0, will debut at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show and will go on sale in March. To be built in a limited series of 1,100, the tC RS 6.0 will be priced starting at $19,290, including $690 destination.

The 2010 Release Series 6.0 has an overtly sporty look with a unique Speedway Blue paint color and matte black vinyl beltline stripe, along with the RS 6.0 logo on the rear quarter-panel.

The interior has the same black-and-blue color scheme, including blue stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. Each of the 1,100 units gets an individually numbered stainless steel badge. A 200-watt Alpine premium audio system with navigation, a 4.3-inch touchscreen, a "sound curve unique for the RS 6.0's acoustics" and iPod and USB connectivity are included.

The Scion tC RS 6.0 is priced at $19,290 for the manual-transmission version and $20,090 for the automatic. Prices include $670 destination.

A very Scion-like promotional gambit is the invitation to visit the official Scion Release Series Facebook page, which will offer a "personalized virtual ride" in the RS 6.0 starting on February 16.

I really hate this car. The color makes me hate it even more. The graphics make me gag. The blue inserts in the seats make me vomit a little in my mouth. The tailights make my a$$ twitch like I just ate Mexican food.

Even the wheels are the same... pretty sad how long this car has been around...  bring on the FT-86 already!

According to autonews the tC redesign would be shown in April at NY auto show.
Rumors are more aggressive lines and 2.7l engine.

6.0?  That should be the engine!  A six-liter engine would make this into one MEAN little Scion!  If Toyota ever decides to put the "6.0" name torwards a real sports car with a six-liter engine, I would be completely on board.  Unfortunately, this name that implies a delightfully powerful big-block engine resides on a stupid little four-cylinder Scion tC.

    Memo to Toyota:

Bring back real sports cars like the Celica, MR2, and Supra.  Cut the nonsense!  Everybody knows the Scion tC is not a real sports car.

    Sincerely,
    Your Potential Savior

So it came out in 2005, and since then it's received... new taillights... and... uhh...

At least it's not affected by the recall.

Oh I remember!  It's also lost 4 HP since it came out.  Now that's progress!

Wow, this design is getting long in the tooth.  How about a new model with some go not just show?

All the cosmetic stuff is nice, but how about a little something for under the hood!?
