- California tuner Neil Tjin has teamed with Gurnade to create a special version of the 2011 Scion tC.
- The upgrade includes boxed fenders, a swoopier front fascia and a 4-inch chop to the top.
- Other mods include a Webasto sunroof, an Air Lift suspension and deep-dish wheels.
LA HABRA, California — The last we heard from California tuner Neil Tjin, he was heading out on the road with his Camaro SS and other goodies for a summer tour.
He apparently found enough time between stops on the Tjin Edition RoadShow to team with fellow design house Gurnade, his partner on last year's Camaro project, in creating a special version of the 2011 Scion tC.
The redesigned tC was launched to less-than-thunderous applause earlier this year at the 2010 New York Auto Show. The Gurnade/Tjin makeover actually injects a bit of pizzazz into the coupe, adding boxed fenders, a swoopier front fascia and deep side skirts, chopping the top by nearly 4 inches and extending the rear glass.
A Webasto sunroof, Air Lift suspension, Status racing seats, custom grille, HID headlamps and deep-dish wheels add even more visual punch.
The partner say their slammed tC won't make it to this fall's SEMA show, although Gurnade does plan to trot out five other custom vehicles for three manufacturers. You can follow their progress on Gurnade's Facebook page.
