What's Special About It?
The ION EFX is a designed to showcase the numerous aftermarket enhancements that will be available directly through Saturn dealers when the ION Quad Coupe hits the streets early next year. The most noticeable enhancement is the ground effects kit that adds lower front and rear fascias and extended side rocker panels. The EFX also sports a prominent rear wing and a lower stance thanks to new springs. A high-performance intake and a free-flow exhaust allow the standard Ecotec four-cylinder to breathe a little easier for better overall performance. An aluminum shift knob and aluminum pedals add a little extra style to the interior that already features removable dash panels that owners can mix and match to suit their own personal style.
Why Should You Care?
The EFX basically gives you an idea of what an ION with everything on it will look like when it's done. We don't think it looks half bad, but whether or not it's enough to drag loyalists out of their Civics is whole different story.
