    What Is It?
    Saab 9-3 Sport-Hatch concept

    What's Special About It?
With a shape inspired by the Saab 9-3X crossover coupe that debuted last year at the North American International Auto Show, Saab has further refined the concept into the 9-3 Sport-Hatch concept car. Intended to blur the lines between traditional wagons and hatchbacks, the Sport-Hatch is less radical than the 9-3X, but no less appealing thanks to its swoopy exterior shape and more useful configuration. In very Saab-like fashion, the five-door "fastback" is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo engine which rated at 250 horsepower.

    Why Should You Care?
Saab says this 9-3 Sport-Hatchback isn't just a show car, but a concept that shows the direction in which Saab proposes to develop its 9-3 line. With a nearly production spec engine and dimensions very close in size to the 9-3 sedan, the relationship isn't obvious. If you're a Saab fan waiting for a small wagon, expect this concept to work its way into Saab showrooms in the near future. — Kelly Stennick
