2000 Saab 9-3 Aero
FRANKFURT - Having a special "performance line" has become all the rage with European manufacturers, and Saab is no different. While BMW has its M cars and Audi has its S cars, look for Saab to begin offering the sportier "Aero" version of its various models. Included among these is the new 9-3 Aero, a hot-rod version of the 9-3 with a 2.0-liter turbo engine and 205 horsepower. A stiffer suspension and three-spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels with 205/55R16 tires complete the mechanical upgrades.
Cosmetic upgrades include a color-matched front spoiler, a rear bumper extension, a color-matched rear spoiler and contoured side skirts. Inside, the 9-3 Aero has unique leather-upholstered seats with increased side bolstering. The steering wheel, shift knob and door panels are also unique to the 9-3 Aero.
