LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles auto show, through its Twitter account, has revealed the official unveiling of the 2011 Saab 9-4X, which is slated to go on sale early next year.
"SAAB has confirmed that the 9-4X Crossover will make its world debut at the LA Auto Show this Nov.," the auto show tweeted on Tuesday.
The production 9-4X, which is based on the 2008 9-4X BioPower concept, was designed and engineered by General Motors, which sold the company earlier this year to Spyker.
The 9-4X will share its basic underpinnings with the Cadillac SRX, and is expected to feature a 265-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 and optional all-wheel drive.

ed124c,
The 3.0 V6 from GM has been widely criticized, but it's not enough to keep the redesigned SRX from selling like crazy. I really hope Saab has something better, but if the rest of the 9-4x is good the 3.0 will disappoint enthusiasts but not kill sales.

I haven't read anything good about that 3.0. Isn't that the same engine that is optional in the Chevy Equinox?
