GOODWOOD, England — In a follow-up to its Ghost app, Rolls-Royce has created the Phantom app, which lets users create custom virtual Phantom models on their iPad, iPhone and iPod. The Rolls-Royce Phantom app debuted in the App Store this week.
Rolls-Royce said the configurator allows users to select from an image gallery with custom features including seat piping, veneer inserts, humidor and picnic sets. A palette of 44,000 colors is available for the Phantom.
A user can also capture the color of a favorite pet or article of luggage with their device's camera feature, and then it apply it directly to the exterior of their virtual Phantom.
The app also features such options as the starlight headliner, where hundreds of illuminated optical fibers are woven into the roof lining of the Phantom.
