GOODWOOD, England — Rolls-Royce has released its first app for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch — a configurator for the new Ghost. The app is available as a free download from Apple's iTunes App Store.
Users can select from thousand of design combinations, including 12 standard exterior finishes, three different wheels, eight different leather colors and five veneers.
Users can then save their individual vehicle configuration in a "virtual garage."
The Ghost app also provides images and specifications for the car, and a dealer locator function.
Inside Line says: We're not sure how many potential Ghost customers actually own an iPhone, but it's an amusing app for the rest of us. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
