GOODWOOD, England — A preview video of the Rolls-Royce Ghost prototype has been posted on YouTube by the automaker in advance of the car's debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
The video shows the Ghost being taken for a test-drive by Dan Balmer, Ghost product manager, in the English countryside and through an unnamed city.
"Feel that whoosh," says Balmer, as he steps on the accelerator and smiles in the promotional video. "The car completely relaxes you."
Balmer describes the ride as "comfortable and serene." The video shows him behind the wheel and being chauffeured in the car's backseat.
The smallest model in the Rolls-Royce range will be equipped with a 6.6-liter turbocharged V12 making 571 horsepower. Peak torque is 575 pound-feet, according to the preview video. The Ghost sprints from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, says Rolls-Royce.
