BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT, France — Invigorated by the success of the New Twingo city car, Renault is launching a Night & Day limited edition. The special version of the popular little vehicle is for sale in Europe only.
The Night & Day Twingo appears aimed at the female market: It has "distinctive floral graphics" on the foglamp, B-pillars, rear bumper and even the key. Renault calls the car "feminine, modern and practical in every detail." Details include black headlamp masks, extra-tinted glass, black pearlescent mirror housings on the exterior and dark metal wheel trim. Inside there are gloss black controls and a matching Organizer Box for the cupholder.
The Night & Day Twingo, naturellement, comes in a choice of Glacier White and metallic Pearlescent Black. Engines are a 75-horsepower 1.2-liter 16-valve gasoline unit or a 1.5-liter diesel making 65 hp.
Pricing ranges from the equivalent of $18,600 to $20,945. The Night & Day Twingo went on sale Monday and will be available in France and six other Western European countries.
