In addition to high-output gas and diesel engines, the new Laguna GT ushers in Renault's Active Drive chassis with four-wheel steering for enhanced maneuverability and more precise control. The Laguna GT sedan and wagon ride on 18-inch Bridgestone Potenza tires.
Power plant choices include a 2.0-liter direct-injection turbodiesel that makes 180 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 205 hp and 221 lb-ft.
Design cues on the GT models include side sills, gloss-black outside mirrors, smoked taillamp lenses and twin tailpipes. The interior features charcoal leather upholstery, cross-drilled aluminum pedals, a sport gearshift knob and sport steering wheel.
The Laguna GT goes on sale in mid-spring in most European markets.
