GERLINGEN, Germany — After releasing sketches of its Porsche Panamera tune in late October, German tuner SpeedART has elaborated on the kit that will include three different power options.

A bigger turbocharger, a sport exhaust with an electronic silencer and a reconfigured ECU bumps output to either 550, 600 or 650 horsepower and as much as 656 pound-feet of torque. The 650-hp kit gets it to 60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds and tops out at over 200 mph. Brakes can be upgraded with the addition of bigger discs and calipers that will make sure the big Porsche sedan has a surplus of stopping power.

As we could see from the sketches released previously, the body kit consists of a front chin spoiler, hood vents, rear diffuser, roof spoiler, side skirts and a new rear bumper. SpeedART 22-inch three-piece wheels, equipped with 305/25 tires, are also part of the package.

On the inside, the tuner adds an upholstered sport steering wheel with F1-like shift paddles. Buyers have the option of wood, aluminum or carbon-fiber inlays on the wheel. Carbon-fiber trim, colored stitching on the seats and door panels and new floor mats are also included.

The SpeedART Panamera will be officially unveiled at the 2009 Essen Auto Show, which opens at the end of November.

Inside Line says: SpeedART gives the car an even more aggressive look and attains some impressive performance numbers for a heavy sedan. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
