TechArt's Porsche Panamera-Based Concept One: 2010 Geneva Auto Show

GENEVA — TechArt of Leonberg, Germany, chose the 2010 Geneva Auto Show to introduce its Concept One study, which it describes as a "second individualization level for the Porsche Panamera model range." We assume the first level it is referring to is the subtle Porsche Panamera package it unveiled last September.

Under the hood, the tuner focuses on both aesthetic and performance modifications. It adds a carbon-fiber engine cover with the TechArt logo and ups output by 150 horsepower thanks to some unidentified upgrades.

The exterior is revamped with a new front bumper with intakes, hood, fenders, side skirts, a stainless-steel sport exhaust with dual black tailpipes, a height-adjustable rear spoiler and a rear bumper with diffuser. The track was widened by 0.8 inch in the front and 1.65 inches in the rear, making room for huge 22-inch TechArt Formula III forged alloy wheels with Continental Sport Contact 3 rubber.

TechArt has also added some special touches like a multifunctional daytime driving light system with automatic dimming and brightness adjustment.

The inside of the vehicle gets some significant treatment with completely redone cocoa-brown leather seats, white leather trim, white carpeting, an Alcantara roof liner and a three-spoke PDK sport steering wheel with paddle shifters.

Its interior setup is completed by a 10.2-inch ceiling-attached monitor with integrated DVD player, a rear center console and two folding tray tables built into the back of the front seats.

Why do companies like TechArt and even Ruff decide to change the Porsche bag on the steering wheel? Personally, it completely cheapens the whole thing for me. You know that the TechArt mods don't come cheap and the car already costs $100,000 - so why would a person with that kinda of dough let them take away the pretty Porsche bag for that stupid TechArt logo.

I'm sorry, but there's nothing that anybody can do to make the back end of this car look good.

What on earth have they done? That's actually a good looking Panamera... ;)
Ok, maybe the original interior is better. But on the outside, nice.

don't know what to make of it, yea the bodykit looks nice. the interior is odd, with its lime green piping and animal hide (is it gator/elephant/snake/croc???) the white carpet is a nice touch, but the white leather on the seats is really weird.

Fugly interior.  Looks like something out of a low-budget 1970s science fiction movie.
