STUTTGART, Germany — Porsche has released the first official images of the new Panamera Diesel, which goes on sale in Europe in August, priced from $103,575 in the U.K. and $119,000 in Germany.

The Panamera Diesel gets a version of the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel that powers the Cayenne Diesel. Driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the engine returns an average 36 mpg on the European driving cycle, good for a projected range of more than 750 miles with the Panamera's 21-gallon fuel tank. The use of optional low-rolling-resistance tires bumps fuel economy to just over 37 mpg, and trims CO2 emissions from 172 to 167 g/km.

Equipped with an automatic stop/start system, the 3.0 TDI delivers 247 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, enough to propel the four-passenger Panamera Diesel from 0-60 in less than 6.8 seconds. Top speed is 150 mph.

Only reason to buy something as ugly as the Panamera is because it's fast.  A diesel version isn't.

Once again it sucks to live in Europe.

I don't care about the converted USD price.  What is the price in Euros? That figure gives us a better idea of what it would cost here.

at the moment, that's about 67,000 Euros....so at current exchange rates a Panamera Diesel..figure on low 70k range in the states.

"A very expensive way to save money."

Too true. If you can afford a $100,000 car, you can afford to get less than 30mpg.
